Salt & Pepper Shrimp with Dry-Fried Green Beans 


I ‘ve been wanting to learn how to make Salt & Pepper Shrimp for quite some time. I found this recipe, and give it a try. Of course I had to make it with Dry-Fried Green Beans.

I decided to go with a bottle of The Wet Hopped Ship from Garden Path.

Collard Greens Soup

This didn’t quite go as planned. I went to pick up the corned pork I had ordered from Tails & Trotters – which I use instead of pickled pork. But there had a miscommunication and there was no corned pork. So, I decided to used a combination of smoked ham hocks and salt pork. The other deviation was using Ayocote Blanco from beans from Rancho Gordo instead of their Marcella beans which ended up being a bit tougher.
